Expert Carpet Cleaning Tips To Keep Your Carpets Look Brand New

  • Written by: News Company

In spite of all your efforts, over some time, your carpets start looking rugged and dirty with spillovers, accidents, and dirt from the shoes. And as cleaning the carpets and giving them a fresh look might seem like a humongous task, we have shared a few tips to help you to keep your carpets look brand new.

Vacuum regularly and correctly

Make sure to clean your carpets fortnightly and do it with ease. You cannot get rid of dirt particles if you rush through the cleaning process.

Vacuum the carpet first horizontally, and then vertically. Repeat this process more than once on the same surface to remove maximum dirt. By doing it slowly, you will be able to pick up the dirt rooted below the surface of the carpet.

Clean spillovers immediately

Do not wait for the next day to clean any spillover on your carpet. Clean any mess at the earliest as this helps in removing stains more effectively.

Also, remember to dab stains and not rub them. Take a cleaning solution on a clean white cloth, sponge, or paper towel and apply it on the stain. This helps the cloth or sponge to soak the stain. By rubbing you will push the particles inside the fabric of the carpet, thus causing more damage.

Depending on the type of stain, there are various types of cleaning solutions, like hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, soda, vinegar, etc. You can easily get these solutions from the departmental stores or the stores of carpet cleaning In Joondalup.

For example, soda is very useful for removing stains of beer and wine, and dish soap removes milk stains effectively.

Don’t abuse your carpet with your shoes

Take off your shoes before you climb on the carpet, and encourage others to do the same. The dust particles from the bottom of your shoes get stuck in the carpet's fabric, and shoes can be very rough and hamper the surface.

Moreover, shoes carry a lot of germs from outside and it’s unhygienic when these stick to your carpet.

Remove candle wax with the heat

If you use candles in your house, you must have observed that the wax from the candle dries up very quickly and it gets embedded on the carpet. Removing it with force can disrupt the surface, so use heat to warm the wax.

Put a white cloth or a white towel over your iron, place it on top of the wax to warm it. Don't keep it for more than 30 seconds, and then slowly remove the wax with a butter knife. Also, do not use a colored cloth to avoid the color from being transferred to the carpet's surface.

Remove pet accidents organically

If you can spare a few extra bucks, it is always better to clean pet’s accidents with organic products. Your pet might be very well trained, but they too can have accidents. So, it is better to keep organic cleaners handy, which can be used to remove coffee and tea stains also. Like other stains, while cleaning accidents of pets, wipe the affected area with a clean cloth dabbed in organic cleaner without delay.

Call for carpet cleaners

While all of the tips mentioned above are important, the deep cleaning of carpets is necessary once in a while. You can rent equipment and do it yourself, but that requires a lot of effort and time.

So, for seamless cleaning at a reasonable price, you can get in touch with carpet cleaning Perth WA. Their experts do a thorough cleaning of the carpet and give it a fresh and long lasting look.

Use stain resistant product

Some carpets come with a stain resistant surface, but with regular usage, it sometimes tends to corrode.

The stain resistant surface on a carpet protects the fabric of the carpet from liquid and dirt. So, it is important that you replace the layer of protector on it without delay. These can be applied to normal carpets also.
