J. Gilbert’s opens for weekday holiday lunches

Lunch service will be available for a limited time, starting Dec. 7

OVERLAND PARK, KAN. (Dec. 4, 2015) –Making spirits brighter during the holiday season, J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood announces the launch of its holiday lunch menu on Monday, Dec. 7. All diners are invited to get their midday fix with lunch portions of some of J. Gilbert’s most beloved items, including a 10-ounce Prime Top Sirloin, a Mesquite Grilled Half Chicken, Wood-Grilled Ribs and more. Starters, entrees and desserts will be available on the menu, which concludes on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Reservations for lunch or dinner service can be made by calling J. Gilbert’s at (913) 642-8070.

Lunch service will be offered Monday–Friday from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. The holiday lunch menu is as follows:

Holiday Lunch Menu

Starters:

Caesar Salad – parmigiano reggiano, garlic croutons, asiago cheese crisp, anchovies

Baby Greens – sun dried cranberries, pine nuts, parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinaigrette

Maryland Crab Bisque

Soup and Salad Combo from choices above

Entrees:*All of J. Gilbert’s Prime steaks are available upon request

Chicken Caesar Salad – parmigiano reggiano, garlic croutons, asiago cheese crisp, anchovies*guest can add salmon for an upcharge

Mishima Ranch Wagyu Burger – au poivre mayo, shallot jam, watercress, gruyee, pretzel bun, sweet potato fries

Lobster Cobb Salad – tomato, bacon, corn nuts, cheddar, avocado, corn, red onion, sweet potato straws, tarragon ranch

Joyce Farms Mesquite Grilled ½ Chicken – grilled asparagus, roasted Yukon gold potatoes

Blackened Chicken Penne – roasted pepper cream sauce, smoked gouda, snow peas, leeks, cilantro, red pepper pesto

10 oz. Prime Top Sirloin – Yukon mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables

Mesquite Grilled Atlantic Salmon – lobster risotto, grilled asparagus

Wood-Grilled Ribs – baby back ribs, Kansas City-style BBQ sauce, thin-cut fries, creamed corn with Burgers’ bacon*guests can choose from a ½ slab and full slab

Grilled Vegetable Platter – zucchini, poblano, tomato, yellow squash, corn on the cob, roasted mushrooms, asparagus, red pepper, balsamic vinaigrette, black bean relish

Mesquite Grilled Chicken Sandwich – Applewood bacon, pepper jack, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, roasted red pepper mayo, pretzel bun 

Desserts:

Chocolate Velvet Cake – moist chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, raspberry ice cream

New York Style Cheesecake – seasonal fruit compote, whipped cream

Berries & Cream – seasonal berries, crème anglaise, chocolate almond tuile
