Faruki Ireland Cox P.L.L. Attorneys Recognized as 2016 Ohio Super Lawyers

CINCINNATI and DAYTON, OhioSeveralattorneys from Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. have been recognized for their noteworthy talents in law in the 2016 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. Charlie Faruki, who has made the "Top 10 in Ohio" list consecutively since the poll began, received the second-most votes this year. Partners Jeff Ireland and Jeff Cox were also named Ohio Super Lawyers for 2016, with Ireland recognized as one of the top 50 attorneys in Cincinnati and the top 100 in the state. Brian Wright and Erin Rhinehart were named as Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Rising Star recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state -- those who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Charlie Faruki, a trial lawyer with a focus on business litigation, was one of the founders of Faruki Ireland & Cox in 1989. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, past president of the Dayton Bar Association, and of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Faruki has chaired the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education, as well as the Board of Trustees of the United States Air Force Museum Foundation. Additionally, he chaired the Bar Examination Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and is a longtime member and past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Antitrust Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Federal Courts and Practice Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association.

A founding partner of Faruki Ireland & Cox and recognized each year by his peers in the Ohio Super Lawyer poll, Jeff Ireland has tried cases throughout the United States in federal and state courts.  His practice focuses on employment, trade secrets, competitive issues, advertising and class actions.  He was selected as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and The Litigation Counsel of America.  He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Ohio State Bar Foundation and Dayton Bar Foundation. Ireland is a past president of the Dayton Bar Association. He has served as a board member or board chair on a variety of not-for-profit organizations. The University of Dayton School of Law awarded him its Distinguished Alumni Award for his service to the community and the profession.  Ireland is the firm's managing partner.

Jeff Cox has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and has handled numerous arbitrations and mediations before the American Arbitration Association.  His practice includes class action defense, privacy and data protection, intellectual property litigation, federal regulatory investigations, products liability, media, advertising, competition and other business litigation. Cox has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer every year.  He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Ohio State Bar Foundation and the Dayton Bar Foundation.  He is Editor of the Federal Bar Association's federal litigation newsletter, is Immediate Past President of the FBA's Dayton Chapter, and also serves on the Dayton Bar Association's Federal Practice Committees.  An officer and trustee of the Dayton Lawyers Club, Cox is a past president of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court. Cox is a longtime member of the Board of Trustees of Chaminade Julienne, serving three terms as Board Chair.

Wright’s areas of practice include advertising and commercial/products liability matters; he also has been involved in federal multi-district litigation and technology-related litigation. In addition to being a Barrister in the Potter Stewart American Inn of Court, Wright is an active member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and Cincinnati Bar Association. He is a graduate of the 2010 class of Leadership Dayton. He has been chosen by the Dayton Business Journal as one of the top 40 business professionals under the age of 40 in Southwest Ohio and has been selected as an Ohio Rising Star by the Law & Politics Magazine every year since 2006. Wright is the partner in charge of FIC’s growing Cincinnati office.

Rhinehart is an experienced trial lawyer, with a focus on the resolution of complex business disputes in state and federal courts across the United States.  Her litigation practice focuses on media and communications law (social media, advertising, First Amendment, online & traditional defamation, public records, trademark, copyright, trade secrets, open courts, takedown requests), class action defense, breach of contract, and environmental matters. She also advise clients on social media, litigation holds, e-discovery, and litigation strategy (both before, during, and after a complaint is filed).  She is an active leader in local and national bar associations, and a prolific author for various legal publications.  Rhinehart has also served as Managing Editor of the American Bar Association's publication, TYL, the official publication of the ABA's Young Lawyers Division, and, in 2006, she co-founded the Dayton Bar Association's 5 for the Kids, 5K race to benefit CARE House, an advocacy center for child victims of abuse and neglect.  She is a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and American Bar Foundation, a 2013 recipient of the Dayton Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Award, and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Dayton. Rhinehart has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton School of Law, teaching various trial practice courses to second and third year law students.
