KEEN Utility Introduces the Omaha: The New Workhorse in Your Boot Closet

Portland, Oregon (January 22, 2016) — For Spring 2016 KEEN Utility launches the new Omaha Series, a collection of versatile, all-duty safety styles built for general construction, landscaping and a variety of medium duty applications. 

“The Omaha collection is a really versatile group of safety styles that blend a more outdoor-inspired look with really durable features, both from a safety and performance perspective,” said Mark Reilly, division director for KEEN Utility. “This sort of multi-purpose work boot rounds out our offerings of safety styles for some of the hardest working men in the country.”

Lightweight and flexible, the trail-inspired, athletic-styling of the Omaha is available in mid and low heights as well as with soft toe options. Crafted from a leather waterproof upper, the boot features abrasion-resistant Tough-Tec PU-coated leather on the toe providing great durability for the life of the boot. KEEN.Dry waterproof, breathable membrane provides a vapor barrier allowing perspiration out while blocking moisture and water on the outside. A removable metatomical dual-density EVA footbed and compression molded EVA midsole delivers exceptional comfort for long days on the job. Left and right asymmetrical safety toes provide contoured comfort and protection, meeting ASTM EH standards while an oil and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole maximizes surface area, offering excellent traction and meets Mark II non-slip testing standards. The Omaha is also available in a soft-toe electro static dissipative low silhouette.
