Barrel 31 invites scotch enthusiasts to celebrate National Scotch Day with a special 5-day steak and scotch flight for $30 beginning July 27

2-scotch flight includes rare Glen Grant Single Malt Whiskey

KANSAS CITY, MO. (July 24, 2015) – Barrel 31 will recognize National Scotch Day on Monday, July 27, by offering a special five-day steak and scotch pairing, available through Friday, July 31. The special will include Chef Eric’s 28-Day Dry-Aged Flat Iron Steak and a two-scotch Glen Grant 10 year and 16 year flight, a rare offering.

The Glen Grant Single Malt Scotch Whiskey will make its debut for Barrel 31’s first National Scotch Day celebration. The 10 Year Old malt features a rich color and almond finish, while the 16 Year Old malt combines fresh orchard fruit with a complex and intense finish. Diners can enjoy the flight alongside Chef Eric’s Dry-Aged Flat Iron Steak for $30, or individually for $15.

The Dry-Aged Flat Iron Steak entrée is aged for 28 days and served with butter-poached root vegetables, smoked mushrooms and Barrel 31’s signature sauce. Diners are welcome purchase the entrée without the scotch flight for regular menu pricing.

National Girlfriends Day, Saturday, August 1Barrel 31 will also recognize National Girlfriends Day on August 1 by offering couples a prix fixe menu, featuring one appetizer and two entrées for $30. Diners may choose from any item on the menu, including Chef Eric’s new menu offerings, which debuted at Barrel 31 on July 23. The special will run all day on August 1.
