SAN FRANCISCO (July 24, 2015) — Strava, the leading global community of runners and cyclists, is among the top 100 global companies to watch in 2015, as announced by AlwaysOn at the 2015 Innovation Summit in Silicon Valley July 8-9 in Mountain View, California. AlwaysOn’s rankings highlight innovative technology companies expected to grow significantly in the coming year. Strava, designed by athletes, for athletes, unlocks potential through the power and purpose of sport with its mobile apps and website.

"Innovation is at the heart of our mission to serve and motivate athletes around the world. From our data-powered products like Strava Metro to Strava Live, our latest mobile innovation to bring real-time feedback to cyclists and runners, we are constantly evolving. We’re pleased to be recognized as an innovative tech company that’s changing the way athletes train,” says Strava CEO and Co-founder Mark Gainey.

The AlwaysOn Global 100 award recognizes mid-stage startups focused on global innovation and poised to capitalize on impactful market opportunities. Nominations for the awards were aggregated from the AlwaysOn editorial staff, leading investors, service professionals, top entrepreneurial companies, and partners including GSV Capital, KPMG and Samsung Ventures. Winners were selected based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

“[These] consumer companies continue to explode along with the mobile boom and the proliferation of connected devices that make up the long-heralded ‘Internet of Things.’ The business market continues to be reinvented by a new generation of big data and analytics companies and new efficiencies in cloud technology and services," says AlwaysOn's Founder and Editor Tony Perkins. “The AlwaysOn Global 100 represent the fastest growing and most highly valued new companies on the planet." Other top companies to watch include IndieGogo, Misfit Wearables and Sidecar.

Strava’s iOS and Android mobile apps can be downloaded at the App Store and Google Play.
