Durham, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2015)Balega , recently acquired by Implus, a leading performance sock brand in the run and outdoor specialty market, will continue to support the Breast Cancer Fund (BCF) for the third year in a row, with the release of their limited edition Words of Grit and Grace Enduro Sock. One dollar per pair sold will go to the BCF, which works to eliminate cancer risks through public policy and educating consumers of the link between chemical exposure and breast cancer.

This year, three new inspirational messages are embroidered into the toe of each bright colored and uniquely designed sock including, “Don’t mess with me”, “Yes I can” and “I am strong.” Together, Balega and the BCF are encouraging women to be healthy and reduce the risk of breast cancer.

“The Breast Cancer Fund is thrilled that Balega is supporting our work to stop this disease before it starts,” said Jessica Smith, Development Manager at the Breast Cancer Fund. “Together, we can turn awareness into action.”

“We are starting to build great awareness amongst our running community for the BCF through the sale and promotion of these inspirational socks,” said Tanya Pictor, Vice President of Marketing at Balega. “We feel great alignment with this amazing cause and group of inspirational people and we will continue with our support.”

Balega’s Grit & Grace sock are available in running specialty stores and online at https://www.balega.com/our-product/enduro. These socks will be sold for $12.50 each and sales will begin in September 2015 and last through October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015. For a list of all Balega retailers, click here.
