Fast-growing payments business expects to hire 300 more employees over the next year as growth continues

(HENDERSON, Nev. – Nov. 12, 2015) – Barclaycard US, the payments business of Barclays in the United States, announced today it is expanding its operations in Henderson and plans to hire 300 new employees over the next year to fill several positions. The notable growth comes less than two years after Barclaycard officially opened its customer contact center in Henderson in February 2014.

Barclaycard celebrated its Phase II expansion on Nov. 12 by holding a ribbon-cutting event with company executives, elected officials and local dignitaries at its location at 2290 Corporate Circle in the Green Valley Corporate Center in Henderson. Since opening locally, about 1,000 people have been hired.

“We have been thrilled by our experience in Southern Nevada and are pleased to continue being a strong business partner in the community,” said Chief Operating Officer for Barclaycard US Patrick Wright.  “Our workforce comprises great experience and quick learners who appreciate what our company has to offer as an employer. They are all strong believers in enhancing customer service.”

Colleagues at the Henderson center provide inbound telephone support for customers of the Barclaycard partnerships as well as Barclaycard-branded programs, including the Barclaycard Arrival card launched two years ago.

Barclaycard issues credit cards with 35 travel, retail and financial institution partners and also offers payment cards featuring the Barclaycard brand. The business also offers an online savings account and CDs.

Barclaycard continues to hire and train new employees for the center. The positions are full time and include generous benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, vision coverage and a 401K plan with matching corporate contributions.
