The right way of compliance training: LMS

  • Written by News Company

Does your business fall in the category of a small business, medium business or a highly regulated enterprise?

Regardless, compliance training is unarguably necessary for everyone.

However, many companies believe that compliance training is either for high-risk industries or expensive or has no real effect. But it is far from the truth.

Compliance allows your business to safely and efficiently perform all the while abiding by the workplace regulations and laws. Ultimately, proper compliance training protects your organisation.

And you still feel that undertaking compliance training will be a tedious affair, there is a much better way of conducting it. - Learning management system.

Here’s how you can go about it.

  1. Easy content updates

In this digital world, especially in terms of compliance training, the policies and laws keep changing every now and then. And it is the learners' responsibility to keep its track and the content updated.

In traditional training scenarios, the process of updating can be cumbersome and time-consuming. However, with eLearning and LMS, it has been made effortless. An LMS can help you by simplifying and expediting the process of updating the content by digitising it.

  1. Reporting and auditing is made easy

Keeping track of compliance training is vital for its success. However, with the conventional ways of training, there are many limitations that the management face when it comes to auditing performance and training. Manually recording, documenting and reporting everything with a time constraint is time-taking but necessary.

At the same time, in situations like these, the accuracy of data is also essential.

A learning management system provides you with a facility that lets you generate automated and accurate reports. This kind of system saves human resources and gives you a clear picture of the training.

  1. It can help you in training and evaluating different teams

Compliance training is necessary for all. Irrespective of the department, team, work or even location. With an LMS, you can carry on the impossible task of training your remote teams or employees as well. The course content can be regulated as per the legal requirement of any particular region in which your people are located.

And of course, you can track their progress and performance without any struggle or constraints for them too because LMSs are centralised.

  1. It increases the accountability of employees

Compliance training is a mandate by legislation and involves educating the employees about the legal and regulatory associations of their respective jobs. Simply put, employees are taught about the laws pertaining to their industry and the legal, organisational framework.

When an LMS comes into play for compliance training, it provides multiple options like quizzes, tests and exercises that engage the employees, tests them, helps in tracking their progress and give them feedback.

As a result, all the trainees start indulging in the process, applying the learning and taking more responsibilities.

This helps in increasing employee accountability.

  1. It gives you the control of customisation

As mentioned above, an LMS allows you to train a remote team as effectively as you do your in-house team. However, the laws and regulations change according to the geography and hence changes the course material for the remote employees.

Working manually for creating separate compliance training courses does not seem feasible enough in the 21st century. However, with an LMS, you get the power to create and customise courses. And parallelly, you can also control the authorisations and accesses of the trainees.

So it will only show relevant content to the employees, taking a more focused and effective approach.

Lastly,

Learning management system and eLearning can make, perceivably complex yet essential, compliance training engaging and easy to manage.

Living in a modern world, surrounded by technology, it is only necessary to use that technology to the best of our advantage, even when it is for compliance training.

How Car Trailers Benefit Small Farmers

  • Written by News Company

Farming activity requires moving implements, fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, equipments, tools and a host of other things to and from the farm, nearly as a regular activity. Even when your farm is at close distance from home, it is unwieldy to carry these things personally on foot, or even in the boot of your car. If you attempt using the boot of your car for this purpose at regular intervals, your car can suffer serious aesthetic problems. A better solution therefore is to have a car trailer that can cater to all the aforesaid needs efficiently.

The ability to tow the car trailer along with an SUV is among the biggest advantages that a car trailer offers. As a farmer, it is hardly practicable to hire transport vehicles every day or every week to move farm inputs and produces from one point to the other. You may also not have adequate load to hiring a transport vehicle every time. Most farmers prefer open car trailers compared to closed car trailers because the open car trailer affords huge convenience in loading the farm inputs/produce and unloading them at the destination.

Small farmers can also buy car trailers in varying sizes as well as qualities to meet their exacting specifications. Although car trailers are offered in aluminium as well as steel, many farmers prefer the steel variant since they are relatively sturdy and better suited for rough handling. Depending on the average load or maximum load that needs to be moved, the weight and dimension of the car trailer can also be customized. One way to maximize the space within the trailer is to look for trailers with higher sides. Some of the farm inputs and produce can be voluminous in nature, while the weight will peg lower than the maximum rated capacity for the trailer.

Coming to your car, obviously it is a priced possession and you are always willing to ensure that it stays safe and clean at all times. The way you drive, transport it, or insisting on maintenance by experts only are among some of the useful measures in this direction. You can also gather plenty of information from the digital world to aid your passion on car maintenance whenever you have some quality time at your disposal.

Some of the major factors that should receive your attention while shopping for a car trailer include:-

For a comprehensive understanding of different types of car trailers, you can also visit U Beaut Trailers whose rich experience and expertise will essentially be helpful to you in getting your car trailer at affordable prices.

Open vs. Closed trailers

For the farming community, there can be no doubt that open trailers are the best option. On the other hand, we cannot ignore the advantages of closed trailers. If you have sensitive farm produce then you may have to weigh in the advantages of closed trailers before taking a final call. Another benefit that closed trailers bring is your ability to store farm produce or other stuff without having to disrupt space inside your home. Yet another factor in favour of closed trailers is their ability to protect the content in the trailer from stones and road debris while in transit and potential damage to exteriors, particularly when you are on long haul trips across states.

However, closed trailers are obviously more expensive and your additional spend could be closer to 50% compared to open car trailers.

Best size

When it comes to the size of the trailer, 8.5x20’ /8.5x24’ are the more popular sizes. But, if you have specific design orientation, the size can be customized, particularly when you choose steel as the material of construction. Within the standard sizes you will also find the 8’x16’ which is the smallest though most people do not prefer this size. When you use an SUV to haul the trailer, consider the weight of the trailer (with maximum load) that the SUV can pull comfortably. When you put heavy loads in the trailer frequently and it puts significant strain on your SUV, your SUV can suffer serious damages over a short space of time. On an odd day, if you happen to have heavier load to be moved around, you are better off hiring a mini truck or other transport vehicles than trying to haul everything in your car trailer.

Weight

Weight of your trailer is another important consideration. However, for farming operations, most people choose steel as the material of construction that is obviously heavier compared to aluminium. When you consider the end use, steel is sturdier than aluminium though you may need to pay attention to regular maintenance. Further, in terms of price too, steel tends to peg lower and that should be economically beneficial to you. Steel trailers can also be disengaged from your tow vehicle and left alone in the farm or home without fear of any major damage being caused. For instance, you have taken a few bags of fertilizer and do not have anything to carry back home from the farm. You can simply remove the trailer, leave it in the farm and drive back home. On a future occasion when you have stuff to carry back home, you can always connect the trailer back to the tow vehicle.

Accessories

Once you have determined the type of trailer that fits your needs perfectly, the next step is looking for various accessories forming part of the trailer. Notice also that some manufacturers may offer upgrades when you need them. Additional height is a factor we have already discussed.

Those opting for closed trailers may also consider finished interiors although this may not be ideal when the trailer is exclusively for farming applications.
