Is Your Child Ready for Opportunity Class?

  • Written by: Samantha Ball

Is Your Child Ready for Opportunity Class?

Opportunity class is a great way to prepare children for the rest of their time at school. This is especially true for younger children. Giving them the skills they need to succeed at a young age will increase their confidence and ability to take on academic challenges.

Many parents are uncertain if opportunity class is right for their kids. However, if you have any of the following concerns for your children, now may be the time to enrol them in a high-quality opportunity class learning centre.

What Is Opportunity Class?

Opportunity class is a government primary school program that specialises in carefully tailoring unique learning experiences for every student. This is done through an in-depth consideration of a child's strengths, weaknesses, and goals. This innovative approach treats students as the individuals they are, offering them the environment they need to thrive, such as smaller class sizes and more flexibility in lesson plans.

How to Apply for Opportunity Class

The NSW Department of Education's High Performing Students Team administers the opportunity class application process, as well as the high school placement process. Interested parties must first fill out an intention to apply form at their child's primary school. Applicants then have to visit the NSW education website, where they will be provided with thorough instructions concerning the submission of the contact information as well as their online application.

Please note, the NSW is very conscious about taking special consideration to students who have medical conditions, behavioural disorders, or who may have circumstances that could put them at an unfair disadvantage. Still, the opportunity class process can be highly competitive, which is why it's crucial to prepare for the placement test ahead of time.

How to Prepare for the OC Exam

Children display their academic abilities and skills in a multitude of different ways. That's why MWNS has classes for primary students preparing for the opportunity class exam. Completion of these classes will help your child's chances of placing in an OC class while also providing them with a head start on the program itself.

Are you worried that your child's academic ability won't be proven by the exam due to test anxiety? Our classes can help them to cope with and even overcome this common issue. Suffering from anxiety shouldn't be the cause of lower marks when a student is capable of performing better under different circumstances. The frustration that comes with this type of anxiety can be very stressful. But, our team of educators can give students the tools they need to handle any test or exam that comes their way.

MWNS Has the Solutions You Need

Maths Words Not Squiggles, or MWNS, is one of Australia's most trusted and reputable specialised learning centres. Our opportunity classes are finely tuned to accommodate the individual needs of every child, no matter their age, ability, or learning style.
