The feeling of Christmas is starting to come alive, however many Australians admit to feeling stressed out during the holidays. Whether it's lack of time, money, or stress surrounding gift-giving, there are many factors that contribute to the hectic nature of Christmas.

One way to combat holiday stress is to stay organized. If you lose track of your keys often or find yourself locked out of the car several times a year, you know just how frustrating and inconvenient the situation can be.

Want to make sure you're never in a scramble for time by getting locked out of your car this holiday season? Here, we're sharing our top tips for making sure you've always got access to your vehicle. Just keep on reading!

Give a Key to a Loved One

If you're someone who's notorious for locking their keys in their car, you should consider giving a key to a trusted family member. Tell them to store it in a safe place where they'll remember, and make sure they live relatively close to your daily routes.

This way, if you do accidentally lock your keys inside your car, you can call your loved one and get them to deliver the key to you.

Keep Your Keys Hidden

Keeping a pair of your car keys hidden in a plant on your porch is another great way to combat getting stuck out of your car. Simply place the keys beneath the plant's pot, in the soil, or beneath some leaves and this will ensure that you always have access to your car keys.

Don't have a plant on your porch? Not to worry! Hide your keys underneath the doormat, under some stones, or even behind some other decorations you might have.

There are even faux rock key hiders that conceal your keys and keep them hidden and out of sight from others. Just place your key inside, slide the locking mechanism over it, and then place the rock on your porch or somewhere near the door.

Deactivate the Auto-Lock Feature

Most people get locked out of their cars because of the auto-lock feature. By turning off the auto-lock feature in your car, you're less likely to get yourself into a lockout emergency.

The deactivation process varies from model to model, but a simple Google search should give you the steps you need to turn off the auto-lock feature.

Keep a Lockout Service Number in Your Phone

Chris from ASGuard Locksmiths says that keeping a lockout service's number in your phone is one of the best ways to save time in the event of a car lockout. These local services can usually get to you and your car in a matter of minutes and can help you save time by getting you back in your car fast.

Never Get Locked Out of the Car Again With These Tips

Don't add to your stress this holiday season by losing track of your keys or getting caught somewhere when you're locked out of the car. Instead, use these top tips and always be prepared so that you won't have to deal with this kind of frustrating situation again.
