Bentonite clay: 7 awesome uses that will change your wellbeing routine

  • Written by: NewsServices.com

Bentonite clay: we’ve all heard of it, we all know it’s awesome, but we don’t all know how to use it! This incredible natural remedy has a range of wonderful uses that make it a wellbeing lover’s dream. Whether it’s detoxing your skin or trying a tantalising new toothpaste, here are seven awesome uses for this fantastic natural product:

  1. It has medicinal qualities

That’s right, the best bentonite clay Australia has medicinal properties that make it ideal for alleviating redness, as well as fighting reactions from face washes and lotions, and can even help reduce blemish outbreaks.

  1. It can detox your hair & scalp

Whilst it’s primarily renowned for its skincare qualities, you can also mix it with water, herbal tea or apple cider vinegar alongside essential oils to create a hair and scalp treatment. All you have to do is massage the solution into your scalp and bring it down the hair strands before leaving to absorb the solution for 10 minutes before rinsing!

  1. It provides an armpit detox

If you’re making the move away from chemical to natural deodorant but it’s not working as efficiently as hoped, or the bicarb soda found in the deodorant isn’t agreeing with your skin, you can use this wonderful product to detox your pits! You simply need a mix of clay, some water and a quarter teaspoon of apple cider vinegar before applying to your armpits in the mornings and evenings, leaving it to dry out on the pits before gently washing it away with some warm water.

  1. Toothpaste

Didn’t we say it had medicinal properties? And, of course, dental care is an intrinsic part of your overall healthcare! It’s a great way to alleviate any toxins and metals found in your mouth, as well as being an alkaline product that is full of minerals and other nutrients.

  1. It makes the most delightful clay bath

You can use this delightful product to make the most relaxing detox bath. All you need to do is fill up the tub and add some of the product before completely dissolving it in the water. You will only need to use anywhere from half a cup to a full cup of the stuff to ensure you’re getting a proper detox (be sure to drink plenty of water before and after the bath to ensure you optimise the benefits!).

  1. It can be used as baby powder

It’s not just as adults that can experience bentonite clay’s wondrous benefits - it’s the bubbas, too! It can be applied to a baby’s skin when it is red, requires soothing or is irritated. It doesn’t contain the chemicals of other products, and is very cleansing and gentle on the skin.

All you have to do is apply a small amount directly to your bub’s skin and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing or wiping it off the skin. You can place the product into a standard food shaker from a home or kitchen store (ensuring it is plastic - it will take on the metal of non-plastic shakers!).

  1. It can help reduce acne spots

All you have to do is add a small amount of this wonderful natural product to some apple cider vinegar to create a smooth paste. Apply the paste and, where possible, leave it overnight before washing it away with some gentle warm water.

Have you tried some of these stunning natural remedies? If not, it’s definitely worth trying, and could seriously shape up your health and wellbeing game!
