PHOENIX, January 8, 2016 – Whitestone REIT (NYSE: WSR) (“Whitestone” or “the Company”) announced that Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women recently opened its fifth location in the Sunset at Pinnacle Peak Shopping Center on Pinnacle Peak Road and Miller Road in Scottsdale. Franchise owner Kari Molton left the corporate world to open the new location and share her love of the intense, empowering circuit training-style workouts for women of all ages.

Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women is a 45-minute circuit workout that combines boxing exercises with cardio, strength training, plyometrics and other functional exercises used in real boxing training.

“There is something about putting on the boxing gloves and kicking and punching the bags that empowers you, yet calms you,” explain Molton. “It is unlike any workout I’ve ever done, consistently produces results and continues to hold my interest through its challenging ever-changing workouts.”

Jabz Boxing classes are different each day so members are constantly challenged and class sizes are limited to build a better sense of team. New members are given an orientation to ensure proper technique and form and workouts are modified for age, ability and experience.

“The ability to focus on a physical target – the bag – and get out the week’s frustrations in a positive way is life changing for many women,” added Molton. “The camaraderie and community we create with small class sizes keeps each of us motivated and more determined to reach our physical and mental goals.”

Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women is located in the Sunset at Pinnacle Peak Shopping Center on Pinnacle Peak Road and Miller Road in Scottsdale. It offers weekday morning and evening classes, Saturday morning classes and is closed on Sundays. MMA training gloves are required for all classes and can be purchased at Jabz for $35.

"Jabz Boxing Fitness for Women is a great addition to Sunset at Pinnacle Peak as it complements the growing shopping center and needs of the surrounding community," stated Jim Mastandrea, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Whitestone REIT. "We are excited this new fitness concept is expanding into our location and will continue working with Kari and her team to share their story and create joint success.”
