DENVER (April 25, 2016) — The Colorado Running Hall of Fame has honored Salomon trail running athlete and team manager Adam Chase with an induction into its ranks. Chase, who serves the running community as an advocate, author and brand ambassador, was among five luminaries recognized in a ceremony at the Denver Athletic Club on April 20.

“My favorite aspect of being inducted, or ‘indicted’ as we were joking at the ceremony, was that it brought so many friends together and it made me appreciate the common thread that running has had in so many aspects of my life,” says Chase. “You might say that running of all forms is like the rug in the film, ‘The Big Lebowski’: running really ties my room together.”

Chase first joined Salomon, a leading four-season mountain sports brand, as an adventure-racing athlete in the early 2000s, debuting at a 36-hour adventure race in Scandinavia. A successful tax attorney by day, Chase has led Salomon’s trail-running team since 2009. The longtime president of the American Trail Running Association, Chase authored “The Ultimate Guide to Trail Running,” and has contributed columns to Running Times, Run Haven and Competitor.

“The history of Salomon trail running in the United States is inextricably tied to Adam Chase and we are over-the-top excited for him to receive the recognition of the Colorado community he loves so deeply,” say Jenny Taylor, Salomon’s brand manager for the U.S. “Adam is the perfect embodiment of Salomon’s twin identities of playfulness and technological innovation, and his writing is as funny as it is insightful. The Hall honors athletes whose careers are ‘winding down,’ but there is no winding down Adam Chase.”

Founded in 2007, the Hall of Fame honors leaders in the sport that have played key roles in Colorado running, including athletes, writers, race directors, volunteers, coaches, agents and officials. Chase and the class of 2016 join 56 contemporaries recognized over 10 years.

About Salomon: Salomon was born in the French Alps in 1947. Our passion for mountain sport progression, product development, quality, and craftsmanship drives us to create progressive gear to enable freedom and help you challenge yourself in the mountains. www.salomon.com
