Fort Lauderdale, Florida

This Father's Day Celebrity Roadside Chef DP and his team will discover who's got "Wing Game!," during the 3rd SabrosoSauce.com Wings & Sauce Battle 13 City Tour at Midtown Commerce Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Chicken Wing eating fans from adults to kids will battle it out for 5 rounds of wings consumption to earn bragging rights as SabrosoSauce King or Queen of Wings and a cash prize.

The SabrosoSauce.com Wings & Sauce Battle 13 City Tour kicked off earlier this year in January at Scratch DJ Academy in Wynwood and this April at the Caribbean MarketPlace in Miami. This time Chef DP and company will bring the battle to Fort Lauderdale.

"This will be the battle of all wing battles said Chef DP. We're taking this to 13 cities, 11 in Florida and two in New York. When it's all said and done we will know who in Fort Lauderdale can eat the most chicken wings within 3 minutes. It should be easy, since they will be smothered in our delicious SabrosoSauce Dip," he chuckled.

In celebration of Father's day, Fathers & Daughters, Fathers & Sons, & Mentors & Mentees, will team up and battle it out to see how many wings they can eat. The winner will take home $100.

"We are thrilled Chef DP is bringing his 3rd SabrosoSauce.com Wing & Sauce Battle to our Midtown Commerce Center in beautiful downtown Fort Lauderdale, said Owner Sheryl Dickey. "We look forward to partnering with Chef & his team for a fun, family friendly event that brings together the city's youth and community to celebrate Father's Day," she added.

Special musical performances are also planned, including a featured performance by Miami's Rising Star Boy Band, the "Gorilla Boyz."  A DJ from famed Scratch DJ Academy will spin on the ones and twos and a surprise MC will host the event.

Delicious Conch fritters & Conch Salad will also be available for those who want to simply watch the action and enjoy a father's day brunch.

About Chef DP

Born in Miami of Bahamian-descent, Darryl Johnson aka Chef DP, learned to cook from his Bahamian grandparents and mother as well as mentors at the Miami Culinary Institute downtown.  His love for food and entrepreneurial spirit were discovered early as a child when he sold homemade butter cookies at events throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. He also has many loyal customers who patronize his mobile kitchen across from North Shore Hospital.

Johnson’s customers have come from far and wide to enjoy his chunks of sweet, tender conch imported from the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos or for his fritters, made from a batter that has bits of conch, green pepper, onion and secret seasonings, but Johnson, is about more than delicious conch fritters and salad. The personable Chef, known for his comedic personality, shades, and bright smile, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Through Chef DP Charities he adopts a floor each year at Holtz Children’s Hospital and is involved in many charitable efforts throughout Miami and beyond.

In 2011, Chef DP established SabrosoSauce,™  a delicious blend of high-quality sauces and seasonings, hand created with fresh and natural ingredients. He has additional products on the way.
