Lonnie R. Mathews, author of ‘Beating Debt & Building Wealth’ and ‘Spend Everything’ is a featured speaker at Houston’s MoneyLIVE event on June 20th.

(June , 2015 Houston, Texas) – Financial expert Lonnie Mathews is bringing his expertise to Houston for the MoneyLIVE event in June. Mathews, who is known for his ability to take complex money issues and help people understand and implement easy solutions, will be available for person-to-person interaction at the event, as well as all-access media interviews.

TheMoneyLIVE event, which is sponsored by Capital One Bank, is a free community service dedicated to helping attendees understand financial matters through simulation exercises.

“Attendees are already eager to meet Lonnie and discover how his strategies will work for them. He pulled himself out of his own financial challenges, which is why I think so many people relate to him and his suggestions,” said Velma Trayham of ThinkZILLA. “We’re reserving media interviews now and Lonnie is available for pre-event demonstrations on TV. The interactive and hands-on approach that he uses with both parents and teens translates well to a viewing audience.”

“I felt like I had to do something. My job was in finance. I was book smart when it came to other people’s money. When it came to mine, however, it just didn’t feel like I could get in front of it. This went on for a few years but then I realized that I was in that valley for a reason. I applied the same methods I teach people today to my own life. I got myself out of debt and started making my money work for me. Now, I’m able to help others feel the same sense of relief and freedom,” said Lonnie R. Mathews.

The MoneyLIVE 2015 event (hosted by Alliance Financial Ministries- Lonnie R. Mathews, Director) will help financial leaders of tomorrow obtain a scenario identity, income, family, budget, check book and debit card. The purpose of the interactive scenario is to help today’s youth understand the consequences of poor choices and just how serious financial decisions are.  Registration for  MoneyLIVE is FREE - www.moneylive.org

MoneyLIVE 2015 will also include a career fair and expo, food and giveaways. Sponsors include DOW Chemical, H-E-B, Baylor Asset Management, The Bank of River Oak, Spirit of Texas Bank and Nationwide Technology Group.  The confirmed speakers for MonyeLIVE 2015 include:Jillian ”jj” Simmons  - DJ on 97.9 the  BOXX (Radio-One), Ms. Tonya Artis – Technical Project Manager – Wells Fargo Bank, and more.
