LOS ANGELES (June 3, 2015) – Actress JULES HARTLEY will appear in a recurring role on HBO’s award-winning comedy series, SILICON VALLEY, during the final two episodes of Season Two, beginning on June 7, 2015.

Created by Mike Judge, SILICON VALLEY is set in the high-tech gold rush of the Silicon Valley, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. With only two episodes remaining the season, the Pied Piper team has certainly been through a lot of turmoil this time around. From their struggles to finding a backer to almost folding their doors, Richard (Thomas Middleditch) and his team have been living on the edge and running from the pending lawsuit filed by their nemesis, Hooli. Hartley steps into the comedic action as Oksana, Hooli Assistant Council, for the last two episodes, “Binding Arbitration” and “Two Days of the Condor.”

Hartley was thrilled to be part of the show, adding “The whole cast is insanely talented. It was like an improv comedy explosion – I really had a hard time keeping a straight face and stifling my laughter when T.J. Miller would riff. Take after take of awesome. But Mike Judge is BRILLIANT. His vision is unique and wonderful. Matt Ross is also quite a talented artist – I was privy to his amazing sketching skills.”

Hartley has been building a solid resume and reputation in both film and television. Her credits include numerous indie films, most recently as the lead female in Titan Films action-drama THE LAST KING, set to release in South Asia this summer. She also starred in The Asylum’s sci-fi thriller AGE OF ICE and Pure Flix’s THE BLACK RIDER: REVELATION ROAD. Her feature film credits also include the FOX rom-com WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Hartley has also frequented the small screen, including appearances in NBC’s cop drama LAW & ORDER: SVU, ABC’s sitcom pilot FUNNY IN FARSI (from MIB director Barry Sonnenfeld), and CBS's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS among others.

Coming soon, Hartley produced and stars in a leading role of rom-com KARLA, and stars in Supernova Films horror-thriller THE BEFORE TIME. She is also in-development as writer/producer/star of a new web series currently titled KARMA POLICE, which reunites her with BODY, MIND, SPIRIT sketch comedy creative partner Scott Parietti.

Born in San Diego and raised in Virginia, Hartley began performing at an early age as a singer and self-proclaimed “musical theater geek”. Her performing arts interests lead her to the theater scene in New York City, where she graduated from Columbia University. She has since returned Southern California to pursue her career in Hollywood. In addition to her artistic passions, Hartley also teaches yoga and is a plant-based, raw foods chef.

Jules Hartley is represented by Almond Talent Agency.
