Louisville, Colo. (July 14, 2015)- Pearl Izumi, maker of ride, run and triathlon performance apparel and footwear, has released their new trail shoes for men and women for Fall/Winter 2015. The shoes offer a complete update to the existing Trail line with enhanced versions of the E:Motion Trail N1 V2, E:Motion Trail N2 V2 and E:Motion Trail M2 V2.

All three shoes feature the Seamless Upper technology that Pearl Izumi began using on their shoes in 2003, creating a supple, supportive fit for technical trail running. Aesthetically, updates to the line have been made to the upper design in order to visually communicate more speed, movement and energy. The design features lines that flow from toe to heel to communicate more dynamic movement. Additionally, a new, stickier carbon rubber outsole compound has replaced the old outsole material to improve wet weather traction. The shoes also feature a quick-drying neoprene tongue. Each of the trail shoes will be offered in two new colorways.

Specific updates to the Trail N1 V2 include the removal of the TPU heel counter to make it have a more minimal feel so that the upper now mirrors the feel of the bottom unit. On the Trail N2 V2, additional support was added on the medial mid-foot for added control in this key area.

“The new Fall 2015 trail collection is all about evolution from the current products to improve the shoes’ aesthetic, fit and function. The goal was to methodically build off of what was working with the current line and to update and address areas we felt we can improve on,” said Mike Thompson, senior product line manager of run footwear at Pearl Izumi.

These shoes will be available July 2015 and can be purchased at select retailers nationwide or online at shop.pearlizumi.com.

New Fall/Winter 2015 Trail Shoes:

E:Motion Trail N1 V2: Neutral Race

The trail-running purists dream shoe, the new Trail N1 features improved outsole traction and just enough pronation and cushioning to let fearless trail runners bomb down technical descents while retaining a lively, responsive underfoot feel. The slipper-like Seamless Upper and motion-focused E:Motion midsole ensure a barely there and beautifully smooth running experience. MSRP $115

E:Motion Trail N2 V2: Neutral Training

How did Pearl Izumi improve the award-winning Trail N2? By obsessing over the details that make an already extraordinary shoe exceptional. They dialed in the mid-foot fit and feel with an updated foot-hugging upper and enhanced outsole for improved wet weather traction-all in the quest to deliver an unparalleled, ultra-run approved shoe to keep trail runners trucking along in smooth safe comfort, mile after treacherous mile. MSRP $120

E:Motion Trail M2 V2: Mid-foot Stability

The new Trail M2 combines bi-lateral mid-foot posting with a snug-fitting Seamless Upper and heightened outsole traction in a rugged yet fast footwear package. Awesome adventure is literally at your feet with this shoe’s unmatched blend of nimble security, stability and comfort on even the most daunting technical trails. MSRP $125
