For Immediate Release- (Fort Lauderdale, FL--September 17th, 2015 ) New York Life Executive and South Florida Financial Guru, Vickie Frazier-Williams, will moderate a financial literacy workshop entitled, The ULTIMATE POWER TRIP: "The Roadmap to a Secure Financial Future," at the 5th Annual Women of Color Empowerment Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The event is scheduled for September 19 at Bahia Mar Resort & Spa. More than 20 speakers from the corporate, health, technology, wealth-building and public policy sectors are expected to take part, including Gina Paige, founder of African Ancestry, and TV star and Judge Glenda Hatchett.

Frazier-Williams says it is critically important for women of all economic levels, to take the time to develop a financial strategy for themselves and their families.  "While that may sound complicated, it can be as simple as sitting down with a trusted adviser to line up the financial priorities for their future," said Williams.

The Ultimate Power Trip Workshop panel will feature an estate planning attorney, an investment adviser, and an accountant, who will offer invaluable tips on estate planning, insurance, investing for retirement, and more.

"Women are the CEOs of their families and control 67 percent of the household investment decisions, said Frazier-Williams. However, we as women, are so busy taking care of everyone else that, too often we don't take care of the financial decisions that will impact our own lives forever," she said.

Frazier-Williams says she hopes workshop participants will be inspired to take, "The Ultimate Power Trip," by investing in themselves to become financially literate.
