Kansas City, KS (October 15, 2015) – In the midst of pumpkin-spiced-everything season, Urban Table is keeping things fresh and seasonal as the Bread & Butter Concepts restaurant unveils their new dinner menu this evening. The new menu might not have pumpkin-spiced lattes, but it does offer something for everyone with 15 new dishes including pork, chicken, beef, seafood and vegetarian options.

“We’re really excited about the diversity of this menu,” says Bread & Butter Concepts Director of Culinary, George Atsangbe. “We hope we’ve created a substantial menu that will appeal to our community during the chillier months ahead.”

Upon first glance at the new menu, guests will discover seven new entrées within the “Everyday Plates” selections. Taking up the bulk of new entrées are four seafood dishes, with not-to-be-missed items such as the Porcini-Crusted Halibut with wild mushrooms, and the Grouper fillet with braised apricot & fennel and fingerling potatoes. Urban Table will also utilize locally-sourced ingredients with a Prime Top Sirloin from local rancher Tim Hatfield of Maryville, MO and a grilled bone-in pork chop from Norton Farms in Plattsburg, MO. Rounding out the Everyday Plates is the Short Rib Ragu with pappardelle, fried sage, parsley and Perorino.

Guests will also be pleased to find new decadent appetizers like the Baked Ricotta served with grilled Farm to Market bread, or the savory Pimento Cheese spread with shredded Gouda and Cheddar cheeses, served with rosemary lavash. Urban Table will also boast its take on a beloved New England dish with its Cape Cod “Stuffies” consisting of clam shells stuffed with baked scallops & shrimp, breadcrumbs, herbs, and rock salt served with a creamy, lightly-spiced Tabasco butter.

And finally, new additions to “From the Market” selections include hearty, Sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms with oyster, crimini, and Green Dirt Farm sheep’s milk cheese, as well as an asparagus salad served cold and tossed with hard boiled eggs, Manchego, lemon zest and truffle oil.

Those looking to switch up their weekday routines may enjoy trying these new dishes as part of Urban Table’s “Date Night” special available every Tuesday night starting at 5pm. Guests can choose the 2-course menu for $30/couple, or the “sharing” menu option of four small plates to share for $20/couple. Also available are glass and bottle selections of J. Lohr wines to help wash down this deal.

Along with their new dinner menu and “Date Night” special, Urban Table is excited to welcome Executive Chef Josh Tajchman to the culinary team. Originally from Marion, KS, Josh returns to his Kansas roots from the highly-regarded Mastro’s Steakhouse in Palm Desert, CA where he excelled as Executive Chef for the past three years.

The new dinner menu will be available starting this evening at 5pm. To the view all of the new menu items online, please visit www.urbantablekc.com.
