What Are The Advantages Of Polarized Sunglasses?

Polarized sunglasses use a technology  including filters that absorb the horizontal light of the sun when it begins to Shine on various objects in your environment. Polarized lenses filter 99% of the glare from the sun which is dangerous for your eyes. This glare affects your ability to see and also adversely affect the overall health of your eyes so when moving outdoors for a longer time it is advisable to have your sunglasses on.

Advantages Of Polarized Lenses-

  1. Your Visual Comfort Can Be Enhanced By Polarized Lenses- When you are outside in direct sunlight, then your eyes are more comfortable if you are wearing polarized glasses. You can view objects clearly though the conditions are too bright. Even wearing them around water you can see the maximum effect of the technology.
  2. Superior Vision Clarity And Contrast By Polarized Lenses- Viewing objects at ground level in bright conditions is better with polarized lenses since horizontal light waves are filtered. Polarized lenses help you see better Colour contrast, better vision clarity. Fatigue related issues can be avoided like headache so thanks to this technique.
  3. Reduces Harmful Effect Of Uva/Uvb - If you are frequently exposed to UV light then it can be damaging to your eyesight. The sun radiation can cause injury that could reduce vision in some people. Polarized lenses filter UVA / UVB and reduce the risk which you face when going out. Children can be benefited more than the adults from this advantage but everyone can be benefited using this technology. Polarized lenses also absorb HEV rays.
  4. Reduce The Strain That You Experience- When you are outside on a bright sunny day, you start to squint. You can possibly reduce the amount of light passing through the retina by covering your eyes or by changing the shape of the eye. This physical response leads to muscle fatigue around eyes, nose and cheeks that leads to headache. Eyes lenses reduce this issue and make your eyes comfortable and rested.
  5. Polarized Lenses Work Even In Shade- If you are wearing sunglasses outside, then you take them off on entering a Shady Spot . At this action you can increase your UV and HEV exposure as your eyes are no longer protected. Having a pair of polarized lenses you can keep the sunglasses on as the Colour contrast level will still be in a beneficial state.
  6. Work Well Even In Winter Months- When you are surrounded by snow, up to 80% of UVA and UVB  rays emitted by the sun are reflected back to you. In such a situation your exposure levels are almost double. Polarized lenses will reduce the glare and the risk and allow you to see more clearly.
  7. Available In A Variety Of Colour Options - When you face different lighting conditions then colour differentiation with polarized lenses makes the difference in the world like The OGS.

  •     Rose lenses on polarization sharpen your focus and contrast in bright conditions reducing the risk of migraine.
  •     Yellow lenses eliminate blue light  spectrum waves that over stimulate eyes and cause fatigue, headaches and strain.
  •     Grey lenses filter the wavelengths in the visible spectrum that is why it is one of the most common options.
  •     Brown lenses are effective when the day is bright or slightly cloudy.
  •     Green lenses offer a superior level of filtering when you find yourself in extreme conditions.

If you work on LCD screens regularly then these lenses might not be a good option. The good news is that if you are using this lens for sunglasses or goggles, then they are priced comparatively with non polarized items.
