The best way to build a successful society is to remove the barriers to getting ahead, levelling the playing field for everyone. We all learn differently and if we don't meet people's individual learning needs, we can't succeed together.

One particular Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Brisbane is doing just that by offering a selection of support services to make it easier for everyone to get ahead, whether you're a late-in-life learner, a new migrant, a First Nations Australian, or living with a disability.

The Power of Support

Skills Recognition International (SRI) is a fully recognised RTO, established to provide everyone who wants an education with the educational and training support services necessary to uncover their purpose and find their dream job.

While students embark on various courses, SRI trainers are there to offer assistance and support services, whether students require disability services, counselling, or career and employment resources. These services are available to all students. SRI also provides a Learning Skills Centre for soft skills, Foundation Skills Training, Indigenous Student Support, and online library services.

If the SRI team identify a student with learning support requirements, they will help customise a strategy designed to assist with language, literacy, and numeracy. It's all about recognising needs and finding a way to ensure students have the support they need to succeed. If additional support is required, the SRI team will take steps to help students find the necessary support to continue their education.

Supported learning helps build confidence, ensures new skills, and can help build independence as you pursue a new course, carve out career skills, or look to upskill.

With a training team prepared to be flexible to cater to a student's individual needs, there's value in recognising different learning styles and finding appropriate ways to tweak the program to use the most effective methods possible. Whether it's reading coursework aloud to the student, giving them space to work alone, or holding verbal assessments.

Upskill Your Way to Success

The supportive learning team at SRI provides assistance to ensure participants complete their coursework to achieve their skills requirements, but the support doesn't end there. The team will also help students receive support, undergo the migration process, and find employment.

There's also a Reading Writing Hotline, which will help you find adult classes locally and provide distance learning if you're a student unable to attend in-person classes.

There are enough barriers to success in life. SRI wants to help people overcome the hurdles to starting a career, whether it's about learning, up-skilling or compliance.
