Christmas Lights Spectacular is back in an even brighter and more traditional style. Santa has now finished adding his final touches to the scenery, so get ready to join Hunter Valley Gardens in the merriments and be filled with Christmas spirit as you explore the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest and most breathtaking display of over 2 million lights. From November 4th 2016 to January 26th 2017, the gardens will be lit up with even more features and Christmas delights, and most importantly, more lights than ever before.

Christmas Lights Spectacular will welcome several new additions, including Santa’s Workshop, complete with Santa, his elves, photo opportunities, and letters to Santa (for which parents can arrange a response from Santa himself!) Santa photos will be available until Christmas Eve, and stunning fireworks displays will be held on the opening night (4th November) and New Year’s Eve at 9.00pm.

Visitors can experience the new Christmas Lights Fun Zone, which allows unlimited play on an exciting range of inflatables, jumping castles, obstacle courses, an arcade alley and the spectacular 35 metre long Super Slide. The Fun Zone will be open from 6:30pm – 10:00pm daily, with entry available for just $7.50 per person.

Sightseers can also go ‘globetrotting’ with the new ‘Around The World’ display with some of the world’s most iconic landmarks lit up in extravagant style, including the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Harbour scene, Coliseum, a giant Earth globe, Dutch windmills and a Scottish castle.

Other traditional family favourites lighting up the gardens this year will include the 6 metre Giant Present Tree, 12 Days of Christmas, North Pole and Nativity Scenes, Cinderella’s Castle, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Underwater Scene, and the Fairy Garden which has additional delights to revel in.

The entire family can enjoy a number of heart-warming Christmas festivities, with a delicious selection of food and beverage stalls, roaming entertainment including carollers, and nightly performances by children’s music group Little Scallywagz.

Christmas Lights Spectacular will be dazzling each night from Friday 4th November, 2016 until Thursday 26th January, 2017 (excluding Christmas Day and Night). Gates will open at 6.30pm and will close at 10.00pm.

The amazing Mega Creatures display will also return to Hunter Valley Gardens in 2017 from January 2nd, featuring towering, one to eight metre high interactive bugs and dinosaurs that will thrill and amaze the whole family.

*Please note: For safety measures, the Super Slide is for children over 120cm tall and is weather dependent along with the inflatables.
